Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 biohazard just got a big next-gen patch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC supporting ray-tracing, high frame rate and 3D audio. All of the above are new for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of the games with ray-tracing coming to all three on PC.

And with that the hardware requirements for the games have been updated on PC, with all three now requiring Windows 10 and DirextX 12. The minimum GPUs are now listed as a NVIDIA GeForce GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon RX 460.

The news came as part of today's Capcom Showcase, where the updated versions got a slick new trailer.

Capcom's RE Engine is one of the most impressive engines today, especially in terms of fidelity and performance so it's great to see it getting these cutting edge features. Stay tuned as we'll be bringing you a look at, well, how they look in new and improved form.
