It was an epic old-school summer LAN with some twists, here are all of the highlights from the Macca's Gaming Summer Party at The Chiefs Esports Clubhouse. I'm lovin' it.
Summer is here, and that means it’s a time for fun, sun, and more gaming than you’ve probably done all year. And nothing says gaming like an old-school LAN party with friends, and that’s exactly what the Macca's Gaming Summer Party at The Chiefs Esports Clubhouse in QLD was all about. Taking place this past weekend with The Chiefs, streamers, local legends, and five very lucky fans, we’re here to bring you all of the highlights from the epic event.
Joining The Chiefs was “part-time Tradie, full-time mad dog” JackoGFreak, Apex streamer AlphaAnton, COD player Nimble and more, and after a tour of the house and some tasty McDonald’s for lunch, it was time to jump into the action. With The Chiefs on hand and the team still riding high off their impressive win at DreamHack Melbourne, there was some Overwatch and Call of Duty played, but with the added bonus of fans being able to play with pros.
Throughout the day, we got to see the awesome merch created specifically for Macca's Gaming Summer Party, which featured some very cool pixel art of classic Macca’s menu items. Other fun activities included a Next Level Racing Hotlap and a Content Creators vs Pro Players Intel PC Build-off. It wasn’t all gaming though, there was also some fun in the sun. The Chiefs Esports Clubhouse features its own basketball court so the group shot some hoops, did some archery and even went for a swim in the Clubhouse pool.
The Macca's Gaming Summer Party was the sort of epic summer event that’ll be talked about for a while. And even though there’s plenty of summer left, The Chiefs will be using the downtime to practise new tactics and set their sights on the biggest event in esports - The League of Legends World Championship in 2023.
