We are great lovers of smart lighting here, and even greater lovers of the Nanoleaf brand who continue to push and innovate in the space; beyond even aesthetic lighting and now into essential setups. And today came word that it has released the first Matter over Thread smart lights, with three new products now available in Australia.

With more in the range to come, these three items are almost a first course for your lighting dining, which includes two A60 bulbs available in Bayonet or Edison as well as a light strip. Here's the official word:
The new Matter-certified Essentials Bulbs & Lightstrips will help to light up your entire home with a simplified setup, seamless controls and personalised automation that work across platforms and multiple devices of your choice. With Matter, you’re no longer restricted to certain platforms or having to check which devices are compatible; all Matter-certified devices work seamlessly together regardless of the brand or manufacturer for the most unified smart home experience yet.

Setting up and controlling your lights is easier than ever before with Matter.

Choose your preferred smart home platform to customise your lighting and conveniently make adjustments from multiple devices via Matter’s Multi-Admin capabilities, allowing everyone in your household to personalise the lighting to suit their needs.

The Essentials Matter line runs over Thread to offer lightning-fast speeds and robust reliability for your smart home using a mesh network. Illuminate your living room, office space, bedroom, kitchen and entertainment areas with a full range of white lighting (colour temperatures from 2700-6500K and up to 2200 lumens) and over 16M vibrant colours, using your preferred smart home app (Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and Samsung SmartThings).

Use the Nanoleaf App for more detailed customisations such as playing Scenes like “Be Productive” for working from home, or “Starlight” to help set the ambiance in the evenings. You can even turn on Circadian Lighting to have the colour temperature of the lights automatically adjust throughout the day, removing blue light as the day turns into night to help regulate your body’s natural rhythm and prepare you for more restful sleep.
We'll be running these through their reportedly easy-to-setup paces for a Gear review soon, so stay tuned. You can grab them now from shop.nanoleaf.me with prices for the above ranging from AUD$39.99 to AUD$54.99. We've also been told these will come to brick and mortar retail soon.

In addition to the above, Nanoleaf's legacy range of products such as Shapes, Canvas and Lines will receive updates down the track to make them also compatible with Matter.
