Some fans have been screaming out for expanded content from within the League of Legends gaming universe for a long time, which led Riot Games to, err... forgeRiot Forge -- a developer-publisher within the overall Riot label with the single mission to bring in more traditional games beyond the MOBA experience.
And today one such game, Convergence: A League of Legends Story, has been made available on pretty much all platforms.
In CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story players will explore the spectacular world of Zaun as fan-favorite champion Ekko, a young inventor with an ingenious device to manipulate time. Follow Ekko’s journey, as he discovers that the power to change time comes with many consequences. Including coming face-to-face with League of Legends champions Camille, Warwick and Jinx in a series of explosive battles. Developed by Double Stallion Games, CONVERGENCE is a 2D Action Platformer with an incredible art style that focuses on tight dynamic combat and unique exploration opportunities afforded by Ekko’s ability to travel in space and time.
With a pretty cool art style and soundtrack, and what looks like a decent game mechanic around using time, this could be a nice launching point for an even bigger exploration of the world of League of Legend, and after the success of the Netflix series, Arcane, even non-LoL players like myself want to get into it all.
The game is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
