Continuing the Nintendo Direct announcements was a brand new gameplay trailer for the upcoming open-world sci-fi RPG Xenoblade Chronicles X, showing us just what to expect in the expansive alien world coming to Wii U.
The world of Xenoblade Chronicles X looks to be even larger than the already gargantuan setting of its predecessor, if the trailer is any indication on that matter. The JRPG, which is in development from Monolith Soft, stars a team of survivors who crash-landed on an uncharted world.
As you would expect from an alien world the team aren't alone, with encounters ranging from small lifeforms to gigantic sandworms reminiscent of Dune. If walking isn't your style you can also call upon gigantic robots to help get you around, which should make Transformer fans feel right at home.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is expected to hit the Wii U sometime in 2015. With no doubt a big push from Nintendo to get it out into the public eye you can expect even more coverage of the game, but for now check out the extremely gorgeous vistas below. My favourite is the clifftop view.
