Director of Programming for Xbox Live and industry icon Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb is scheduled to deliver the opening keynote at PAX Australia in Melbourne this November. Major Nelson has in many ways been the face of Xbox Live for a number of years now, and his presence is a welcome one as PAX Aus continues to grow each year.

"As the embodiment of Xbox and Xbox Live, Major Nelson has seen it all," said Jerry Holkins, co-founder, Penny Arcade. "I will be there with everyone else when the show kicks off, ready to absorb his wisdom."


PAX Aus will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 4-6, with badges still available.

Doesn't surprise me. They rely a lot on Australia and places like the UK for their market now.
