With both next-gen consoles -- the
Xbox Series X and the
Xbox Series S -- launching November 10. This news broke overnight after day of leaks that ultimately led to both the Xbox Series S finally
getting its reveal (via Twitter) to the launch dates and pricing for both. Head of
Xbox Phil Spencer took to social media to not that all this info was
coming next week. But hey, we have it now!
With the key local bit of news being the Xbox Series X priced at $749 AUD ($499 USD) with the Xbox Series S launching at $499 AUD ($299 USD) on November 10, 2020. Pre-orders beginning September 22.
Both consoles will also be made available via the smart-phone-style
Xbox All Access 24-month plan via Tesltra (in Australia) - with the Xbox Series S being $33 AUD a month and the Xbox Series X $46 AUD a month.
Both of these All Access plans come with
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions plus online multiplayer access making them pretty great value. Ultimate also includes Xbox Game Pass for PC and when you factor in that EA's own service
EA Play is set to become a part of Xbox Game Pass come next-gen launch, well, the deal gets even better.
Traditional pre-orders are also coming, with EB Games offering a decent trade-in where the Xbox Series S becomes $299 AUD after a One S hand-in and a Xbox Series X becomes $399 if you trade-in a One X.
Head here for that.

I wonder what this requirement mean for 'next gen' ports to PC?
