With both next-gen consoles from
Microsoft -- the
Xbox Series X and
Xbox Series S -- going up for sale/pre-order starting at 8am AEST, September 22. Covering local retailers like JB Hifi, EB Games, Telstra, Harvey Norman, and Big W if you're keen on next-gen Xbox you may want to set your alarm in order to get in early.
And we say that because recently
we've seen both the pre-orders for the
PlayStation 5 and launch of the
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 sell-out at a pace that just about defies logic. The next-gen hype is real, and with the high-end Xbox Series X retailing for $749 AUD and the more cost-effective digital console the Xbox Series S retailing for $499 -- both will probably sell-out fast.
These pre-orders also include Telstra which will offer up the first batch of Xbox All-Access subscriptions. A phone-style plan that will offer both consoles on a 24-month contract that includes Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Those subscription start at $33/month for the Xbox Series S and $46/month for the Xbox Series X.
Xbox Game Pass represents the best deal in gaming, and ahead of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S launch the platform is set to
get a tonne of EA games. Even though the whole console subscription thing is relatively new, no doubt this is a very attractive option.
Both consoles launch November 10, but at this stage that date is probably when retailers will send out all pre-orders. The retail floodgates will open up globally too so be sure to
head here for all the details.
