Xbox One’s April firmware update has now been given the greenlight, heading onto all console with a number of rumoured features now being confirmed in the final batch of patch notes.
The two biggest are friend “toasts” which let you know when people on our friends list come online and improvements to Game DVR compression quality. The update also brings visual improvements that will let you know which games and apps are being updated or have recently a patch.
This update also includes Kinect voice and motion improvements, blu-ray support for 50 Hz content, controller and headset adapter firmware updates to reduce static and improve connectivity, and silent rebooting after update if you use the “instant on” feature. Check out the full patch notes via
