Or this week if you're one of those freaks that believes the first day of the week is Sunday. Anywho, after years of people wanting to see mouse and keyboard support on the Xbox platform Microsoft is doing just that - mouse and keyboard input in place of the controller. Leading the charge will be Fortnite and Warframe.

With Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Warhammer Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense adding the support this month, and Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface, and Wargroove adding it sometime in the future. Moonlighter seems like a weird choice as that's a game that even on PC works best with a controller.

The update itself will roll-out on all Xbox One hardware at the system level which will give every developer the ability to add the functionality to any game as they see fit. Which is the best way to go about it, and another great move from Microsoft. The addition of keyboard and mouse support for Xbox also means that retailers will need some extra Xbox peripheral space as hardware makers like Razer plan to release Xbox specific keyboard and mouse combos.
