Continuing the Xbox One-orientated news is the reveal from Microsoft that publishers aren't required to release trial versions of Xbox One games, something that is currently mandatory on Xbox 360's Live Arcade.

The snippet comes from a recently updated IGN Ask Me Anything (via OXM) where Microsoft's Marc Whitten stated that "not all games will have demos like Xbox Live Arcade games have had on Xbox 360."

"That said, we are going to work on lots of ways to make it easy for you to find and try new games on the service." Hopefully we won't see the full extinction of playable demos, but at least developers now have a choice on how they get potential customers interested.

Those worried that you may not be able to use more than four controllers need not worry, as Microsoft has also confirmed that their next-gen console can support up to eight controllers at one time (thanks EuroGamer).

The new details come from a re-designed information page on the wireless controller, which outlines all the additional changes that the controller has gone through in development. It is unknown whether any game will actually support the large number of controllers, but at least its there for those interested. Check out the new controller page here.
