Microsoft have a long history of redesigning its interfaces, usually for the better. This was the case with the Xbox 360, and also with the Xbox One. The dash, or main user interface is very different now to what it was at launch. And a new update and redesign is on its way later this year. Team Xbox's Major Nelson and Mike Ybarra give us all a glimpse.
And yeah, it looks different. As a fan of the current interface I'm not too sure what to make of this other than the Content Block stuff seems a little confusing. Part of what's called Microsoft Fluent Design the new customisable dashboard has been created for both speed and players being able to quickly get access to and see what they want to see.
It does sound very cool in principle. Also the community page is getting a much needed overhaul, which can be seen in the video above. The update, expected later this year, will also come to Windows 10 in addition to Xbox One consoles. And if you're part of the Xbox Insider program you can get access to the new dash right now.
