Microsoft has today revealed that their online system for the Xbox 360 will be going free through to December 2nd, with the Xbox LIVE Gold features being made available to all. Owners of an Xbox 360 can access several of the Gold features including online multiplayer gaming, the new Internet Explorer for Xbox 360, Video Kinect and the entire catalogue of entertainment apps.

Microsoft are also running several Halo 4 training boot-camps in celebration of the free weekend, giving players the chance to train with Australia's best Spartans.
Starting at 7pm (AEST) tonight, people can choose from four different pro-gamers to train with, including:

CAMP 1: SNIPER

GamerTag: Blaze [ACL]
Known for their ability to wreak havoc on the enemy’s spawns and cover their teammates from afar.

CAMP 2: SLAYER

GamerTag: Hopey [ACL]
Known for their skill at controlling the power weapons and power positions on a map to take over the game.

CAMP 3: SUPPORT

GamerTag: Halvo [ACL]
Known for their smart, selfless play style and their ability to lay down a tonne of cover fire whilst staying alive.

CAMP 4: OBJECTIVE

GamerTag: Ogre1 [ACL]
Known for their decision making and ability to stay alive, they are trusted with the most important goal, achieving the objective.
So if you have an Xbox 360 lying around and want to check out what the Xbox LIVE system is like, now is probably the best time to do it.

1 weekend seems pretty weak, considering you often get 14 days or even a month free with a lot of games.
