Since the cancellation of Platinum Games Xbox exclusive Scalebound, the number of high-profile Xbox One titles from the east that weren't ports or primarily PS4 focused releases has dropped to just about zero. That may not be exactly true, but the lack of titles like Yakuza from Sega and some JRPG's is starting to be felt.
In response to a direct question regarding the JRPG genre, Xbox head Phil Spencer noted that we should expect to see something as part of its E3 presentation.
In response to Sega's Yakuza series which is currently a PS4 exclusive, he notes that he'd love to see titles like that on the Xbox platform. It's worth noting that titles like that and JRPGs in general are seen as more niche products but still the sort of titles you want to create a more robust library. Especially when Microsoft is heavily invested in its Game Pass subscription service.
