Launching this month Microsoft's videogame answer to Netflix, Xbox Game Pass, seems to be doing everything right. With much larger file-sizes, games are downloaded prior to being playable. And at $10.95 AUD a month, the price is reasonable for the 100 games currently on offer. At E3 this week, Microsoft’s Dennis Ceccarelli confirmed that at least 5 new games will join the service each month.

With none of the current line-up expected to be dropped until at least November later this year. But, will it be enough? With a line-up that is predominantly Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 games, to really sell the service as Netflix for gamers it will need new, original content. Bigger recent releases, and perhaps even debuting a few high profile indies.

Either way Xbox Game Pass is something that we'll be keeping an eye on as it matures in the coming months.
