From the price of a Netflix-style subscription, Xbox Game Pass offers monthly subscribers access to a wide library of games that instead of streaming, they can download to their Xbox One console and play for as long as they remain paying customers. A great and forward-thinking service that starting next month is looking to become essential.

For Xbox One owners that is. As per the recent announcement that all Microsoft first and second-party offerings would be available on the Xbox Game Pass service day and date as retail releases, comes the fruit of that announcement in the shape of Sea of Thieves. Which means Xbox Games Pass subscribers will be able to play the game on March 20 just like everyone else. What makes this impressive is that as a subscriber Sea of Thieves only represents one title out of a library of over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games.


Sea of Thieves isn't the only game coming in March to Game Pass with Rise of the Tomb Raider, Super Lucky’s Tale Resident Evil Revelation 2, Oxenfree, Sonic CD, The Final Station, and Euro Fishing joining the library on March 1.

Xbox Game Pass also offers players a 14-day free trial.
