Think of it as a Netflix for games. Or, like EA Access but with games from multiple publishers. Xbox Game Pass, is a new gaming subscription service that will be launching in the coming months. And for the price of $10.95 AUD a month you'll get access to over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 games for your Xbox One. Including Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and SoulCalibur II. Which will all be available to download and play when the service launches.

As for the library itself, Microsoft has announced that titles will cycle in and out of the line-up to keep things fresh, and any games in the line-up will be available (alongside any DLC) for purchase at a special Xbox Game Pass discount.

An early version of the service (with limited titles) has been made available to Xbox Insider Program users earlier today. Publishers that have been confirmed as being involved in the new service are 2K, 505 Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Capcom, Codemasters, Deep Silver, Focus Home Interactive, SEGA, SNK CORPORATION, THQ Nordic GmbH, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Microsoft Studios.

Regardless of your stance on the pricing, platform, and line-up, this sort of game subscription service has been inevitable for a while now. And we're certainly excited to see how it all works. Especially considering that you'll be able to download and play the games as opposed to stream them over a network.

I guess that's pretty good value, If you got a fast net connection and good download limit.

Yeah, you need gold when it first releases, but then they said they're going to open it up to everyone after that, guess its just a staged rollout kind of deal.
