The
Xbox Game Bar on PC is essentially the overlay you get when pressing the glowing 'X' when you're on an
Xbox One - or pressing Shift+TAB in
Steam. Bringing up audio and recording tools, fps counters, and so forth. Today comes word that Microsoft is adding support for popular third-party apps XSplit’s Gamecaster and Razer’s Cortex.
Saving you the need to Alt+TAB back to desktop. These widgets are coming soon, with the Xbox Game Bar Team noting, "We’ve seen incredible interest from key leaders in the PC gaming ecosystem and we expect the number of widgets to continue to grow."
No doubt streamers will rejoice at the inclusion of XSplit’s Gamecaster. Microsoft is also making a Game Bar SDK (Beta) available to developers so that they can build their own custom widgets. These will eventually become available in the Game Bar Widget Store accessible from within the Game Bar.
