Wondering just how well your computer will handle Bethesda's latest addition to the Wolfenstein universe? The developer has revealed the PC system requirements along with console requirements for Wolfenstein: The New Order, and they are definitely something hefty.

Continuing the tradition of the more recent multi-platform games, Wolfenstein is also opting to only support 64-bit operating systems either on Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1. You'll also be needing an Intel Core i7 or equivalent AMD, 4GB of RAM, 50GB of free HDD space and a GeoForce 460 or ATI Radeon HD 6850 GPU. "High Speed Internet Connection" and a Steam account are also recommended.

Moving to consoles, you'll be requiring a whopping 47GB free to install the game, for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. Both platforms also support "voice commands" with Xbox One getting Kinect support for said commands (English, French, Italian, German and Spanish only though). On the past-gen front you'll be looking at hilariously tedious four discs for the Xbox 360 version, with PlayStation 3 gaining one single disc.

Your PC up to scratch? Let us know in the comments on your thoughts about the system requirements.

Woohoo, GeForce 460 and Core i7. I meet the minimum requirements!

I wonder why it won't run on an i5, that seems very odd - and specific considering there's so much variety in the i5 and i7 range.

After experimenting with BF3 on PS3, I certainly won't be going near the PS4 version of this one. Learned my lesson, console FPS games certainly have not improved over the years in the area of controls.

It'll run on an i5. They're just too vague. Some i5's are faster today, than earlier i7's.

50GB HDD space though. More uncompressed soundz?

i7 as a minimum requirement, are you sure? That sounds more like a recommended system.

My PC is only six months old but I have an i5.

"These are the system requirements to deliver the PC game as it was intended to be experienced," so yeah, recommended specs.

That's super dumb, I have an i5 and it's better than some i7's :/ But reading a couple of other sites, Bethesda weren't clear on whether they're minimum or recommended.. They'd have to be recommended, cause I can't see i7's being a big chunk of the overall market.

so i7 is very broad, it could mean Arrandale 2 core i7, which could be outpowered by a new i3 , it would have been better if they at least gave an idea of speed, or something

Maybe they just picked the closest equivalent hardware to a console - I wonder why they'd do such a thing..

I'm more curious about the size - 50GB and it's single player only. So is there either bloat (e.g. Titanfall audio) or is Wolfenstein going to have a long campaign?

A 460 is underpowered for an i7. I mean s***, even the first gen 2600K mates well to a 680/770.

I'll see you out the front of school at 3PM. Don't bring your girlfriend to back you up this time.
