Which strangely has nothing to do with the fact that it focuses on the Blood and Gore featured in the game. Okay, so that's part of it. But the last time we checked in on the mouthful to pronounce that is Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, it looked a little sluggish. Now, after what we assume is a few more months of polish the Diablo-like action RPG is starting to look like it could be a winner.
Naturally, the action is slower paced than what you might be used to in the action-RPG genre. And with destructible environments and cover, this new look also showcases the detailed hit boxes where you can shoot the weapons out of enemy hands as well as take out individual pieces of armour.
It look and sounds very cool. And developer NeocoreGames is certainly aiming very high with this game.
Our goal is to develop the world's very first Warhammer 40,000 Action RPG that is not only the true next step in the evolution of the genre, but puts the players in the middle of the never-ending war in the violent 41st Millennium. In order to evoke the authentic atmosphere of this unforgiving universe we created a brutal combat system where players can vaporize, explode and dismember their enemies, do spectacular finishing moves and even use the destructible environment against them.
