A new Wii U update has made its way out to the public, finally giving console owners the chance to transfer all of their Wii U system data over to another Wii U console.
Acting in a similar fashion to Nintendo's current 3DS system transfer, the option will now allow Wii U owners the ability to transfer all software and data from one Wii U to another. Content from the source console, including any users, Nintendo Network IDs, save data, and digital content, will replace that on the target console. The update patch notes also note that Nintendo Network IDs that previously existed on the source console can be transferred over, allowing users the ability to re-download any purchased content.
The new system update also offers owners the chance to browse the eShop with multiple controller options, including the Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller, or Classic Controller. Previously eShop navigation was done solely with the Wii U GamePad. For more information on the update including a guide on transferring content, check out the
official website.
