As we approach the E3 period of the year, publishers are scrambling to unleash torrents of information regarding new, known and updating releases for the remainder of 2021 and beyond. One massive title we're really excited by, and want to now a lot more about is the next major entry in Ubisoft's much-loved Far Cry series, with official news punters can tune in to watch the Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal trailer this May 29, 2:30AM AEST.
Originally revealed via a CG trailer that posed way more questions than answers, Far Cry 6 has been a radar-heavy "must see" title for 2021 and promises to lay claim to the coveted "Most Anticipated Game of 2021" title we just made up, right here.
Here's Ubi's official word on Far Cry 6:
Far Cry 6 is an open-world first-person shooter that plunges players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution set in Yara, a tropical paradise frozen in time under the oppressive rule of President Antón Castillo (Giancarlo Esposito). As he vows to restore his nation to its former glory while grooming his son Diego (Anthony Gonzalez) to follow in his footsteps, players will embody Dani Rojas, a local military dropout turned guerrilla fighter in their quest to overthrow the tyrant and unite the nation.
Check out that CG trailer embedded below. We should also mention we'll have in-depth coverage coming after the reveal takes place, having had an early peek at what's happening in the world of Yara ahead of time. So stay tuned!
