The latest "Iwata Asks" from Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, explores The Legend of Zelda's 25th anniversary, something Nintendo also brought up in detail during their media briefing at this year's E3. The episode has been translated by Nintendo World Report who found a juicy morsel of annoying information regarding the potential for a 25th Anniversary Legend of Zelda compilation release for Wii ala Mario's similar compilation.

Apparently Nintendo of America put the idea forward, but both Iwata and Zelda creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, shot it down reminding everyone they don't do the same thing two years in a row, saying "that wouldn't be very Nintendo like" (translated).

Instead, Zelda fans will be given a commemorative concert (which will come to Australia), two soundtracks from previous Zelda games (including Ocarina of Time), a free DSi download of the GBA classic, Four Swords and a Special Edition gold Wii Remote with Skyward Sword when it releases. To be honest, I'd prefer a compilation release on Wii U with all games remastered in HD.

Skyward Sword coming with a special Wii remote sounds good to me. Means I won't have to buy a Wii Motion Plus for it.

Wouldn't happen, Nintendo barely put any effort into that Super Mario Collection last year.

I'd like a thick ass book showing how zelda changed over the years through all the games, and sketches about original designs and how they went about tackling OoT originally and all that. Anything like that out now? If there is I want it.
