DC FanDome is an all-digital Comic-Con style showcase for the DC Multiverse and its many comics, films, television series, and more recently, Snyder Cuts. Coming soon to world of everything online the part that piques our interest though is the "new announcements from WB Games" planned for the August 22 (PDT) event.

Like many of you we've been wondering for quite sometime just what Rocksteady has been up to since closing out its Arkham trilogy in 2015 with the Batman: Arkham Knight - a game we consider to be a masterpiece. Five years is a long time, and we're currently in-between generations, so whatever the talented studio has cooking will make its debut on next-gen hardware like the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Will it be a Superman game? The studio says no, but it could be something Justice League related - or star a different DC character entirely. In fact enough time has passed that we wouldn't be surprised if it's a new Arkham joint. And hey, we wouldn't be complaining.

Or, like every year for the past few years, Rocksteady will remain silent and instead we'll get to see what other WB Interactive studios are cooking up. On that front the heavily rumoured and teased Batman project from Arkham Origins developer WB Montreal is supposedly pretty far along and will focus on the Court of Owls.

Here's to getting a glimpse at that and the next Rocksteady jam. For more info on DC FanDome - head here.

Yeah the timing of all of this is a bit off. My reckoning though is that whatever WBIE has on from a project/contract perspective gets seen out, then it all gets offered up. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't wind up THQ-like in the end, with IPs being split to different bidders/entities
