But unlike the recent Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, Warhammer: Chaosbane is set in the old-timey version of Warhammer - the same universe as the Vermintide and Total War games. And based on this first look at gameplay, the inspiration is crystal clear - Diablo III.

With skill-based combat, co-op, and fast action. Yeah, this looks good.

This mission takes place in the sewers of Nuln, the Imperial capital, which have been invaded by servants of the Chaos god Nurgle. Here we meet Warhammer: Chaosbane's first two playable characters: Konrad Vollen, captain of the Empire and specialist in close combat capable of taking a lot of damage, and a High Elf mage named Elontir with devastating long-distance attacks.

According to info we've received, each class will feature 45 skills - which no doubt will add a bunch of depth and possibility to the various builds. Again, it all looks a lot like Diablo III - which is not a bad thing at all. Warhammer: Chaosbane is due for release sometime next year.
