We've only just received our copy of DOOM for Nintendo Switch but to get a good idea of what it looks like, IGN has posted a lengthy video showcasing the opening sections of the game. And sure, visually it's blurrier and not as detailed as the other versions of DOOM it still looks impressive.

especially when played in handheld mode. I mean really, 2016's DOOM on a console that can be taken on the road is every bit as awesome as it sounds.

From what we've played and as per the video above, DOOM on Switch runs at a rock solid frame-rate where performance has been optimised to take advantage of Nintendo's latest console. The results are pretty remarkable considering what's under the hood.

Wow still so impressed they got this beast to run. Honestly it looks awesome. Testament to the guys at id. Still the best engine programmers in the biz even without Carmack. idtech 6 is ultimately what sold me on wolfenstein 2 rather than whatever was powering the old blood. Also as an aside Mick Gordon is god and I will buy anything he scores. Any chance at an AusGamers interview with the master? :D
