That gets bonus points for including a dog companion you can pet and work with, so you don't have to explore a creepy forest all by yourself. Bonus points that will naturally get deducted if the dog, you know, fall prey to the Blair Witch. Anyway, as per the latest gameplay trailer this is looking like an interesting slice of horror.

First person, armed with a digital video camera, a flashlight, whispers of a witch somewhere in the dark, and a Creepy+10 factor that means I wont be playing it with headphones and the lights turned off.

Based on the 1999 fake found-footage film The Blair Witch Project, this was an E3 announcement that took us by surprise. In that it's sorta weird to be getting a Blair Witch game in 2019. That said, this looks like something horror fans should keep and eye out for when it launches for Xbox One and PC on August 30.

Apparently it is also being made available on Xbox Game Pass (hopefully both for PC and Xbox)
