Ahead of this year's Superbowl, Microsoft has put together a little teaser of what it might be like watching football in the near future with HoloLens on your face.

It's very impressive, to be honest, and still seems more useful in day to day scenarios than VR (I know they're definitely separate ideas), and if I could swap NFL out for AFL or NBA, I'd definitely be a happy camper.

Of course, all of this is "future tech" stuff, which means it's still in development, but that Microsoft has backed itself with a commercial showcasing all of this around the Superbowl suggests they know HoloLens is tracking to some level similar to this.
