Ahead of its launch next month, Ubisoft has revealed a brand new eight minute gameplay video for their hacking title Watch Dogs, showing off just what you can expect in the multiplayer portion of the game.

The gameplay video takes a glimpse into three distinct and very exciting looking modes including Online Hacking Contracts, ctOS Mobile Companion App, and Competitive. Each of the three modes offers players the chance to invade their friends and foes, causing havoc as they complete contracts or the chance to utilise the mobile app to play overlord and spawn police chases as players try to escape.

Check it out in action below, and let us know your thoughts on the video in the comments. Watch Dogs will be available come May 28th for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

So many options and not all of them symmetrical. More games need to start thinking about their single-player systems where multiplayer opportunities are concerned.

I hope all of this holds up in the retail release, but damn it all looks like a lot of fun.

Here's hoping Steve (RE: Holding up at release)

I have my own hesitation regarding the 'PC community' for the game.

Courtesy of their decision to run with uPlay (which I can partly understand if there going for connectivity on multiple platforms (mobile, console, etc, etc) then steep system requirements coupled with GPU vendor bias I can't imagine that the PC world is going to start terribly 'unified'.
