Indie developer developer Fatshark's Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide was a pleasant surprise when it first came out. A deep and rewarding Left 4 Dead style experience set in the Warhammer universe. Where the rat-like Skaven took the place of zombies. Today we learn that the highly anticipated sequel Warhammer: Vermintide 2, is due real soon. Like March 8 on PC soon.
Bigger in every way than the original the sequel introduces a new foe, Chaos, plus new environments and a whopping 15 hero careers. One of which is the Bounty Hunter which you can see in the following gameplay trailer.
"Being passionate fans of the Warhammer IP, we’ve always wanted to create a Warhammer sequel that both stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the world but also brought new ideas and experiences for players. It's been years of work but on March 8th we look forward to joining forces with players everywhere to defend Helmgart from evil", said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is also coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (no doubt with the excellent Xbox One X support found in the original), with the console release date still TBD. The PC version is currently open for pre-orders via Steam via a beta scheduled for late February.
