And it's available right now on PC, with the Xbox One release sadly delayed to next month. Teased a little while ago by developer Fatshark not much was known about the new DLC expansion until its release today - but with the arrival of two new levels and expanded lore, it sounds fantastic. Especially when you consider that each of the core game's levels features impeccable design with amazing looking locations and memorable set-pieces.

The two new locations that players are sent to explore, The Pit, The Cleansing, deals with a new Nurgle infestation that is slowly consuming the city of Bögenhafen.

“After the huge success with the release of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 we remain focused on supporting the game with new content and experiences.” says Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark. “Shadows over Bögenhafen adds even more compelling content that should challenge and satisfy even the most hardened players, we're really excited to announce its launch today on PC."

The update also introduces new challenges, quests, and cosmetic items in the form of skins, illusions, portrait frames, and hats.
