An announcement from developer Fatshark over on social media has confirmed that the upcoming release of co-op multiplayer action game
Warhammer 40K: Darktide has been delayed. Originally planned for September, it's now on track for a November 30 launch on PC with the Xbox Series X|S version coming "shortly after".
The game is also launching into Xbox Game Pass.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide is definitely something we've been looking forward to, as the follow-up to Fatshark's excellent Vermintide series it brings Left 4 Dead style guns and melee co-op action to the world of Warhammer 40K.
"Delaying a game is perhaps one of the most difficult decisions a developer faces and one we are not excited about making," the statement reads. "Still, we hope this speaks to our commitment to taking the time necessary and doing whatever it takes to get you the best possible game." Noting that stability, performance, and even key gameplay systems still need a bit of fine tuning.
