Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is out November 30 on PC, a co-op action game and spiritual successor to the Vermintide series. It's Warhammer meets Left 4 Dead, and one of the bigger PC releases to close out 2022. It's also coming to PC Game Pass on Day One, though it won't feature cross-play or even cross-save with the Steam version.
"We appreciate the value in Crossplay and Cross-Save." developer Fatshark wrote in an official FAQ response. "However, for launch, these options will not be available. At this time, we are unable to comment on when or if Crossplay and Cross-Save will be available."
This follows on from a previous post on the Steam forums from June where Fatshark noted that the idea of crossplay between Steam and PC Game Pass is being explored, though players shouldn't expect it on Day One. This is a shame because this will undoubtedly fragment the PC player base. Not to mention separate console players when the game makes its debut on PlayStation and Xbox consoles next year.
Here's hoping the feature is being worked on.
