SEGA have sent through word their latest installment in the Virtua Tennis franchise, Virtua Tennis 4, is now available for PC digital download via a host of SEGA partners, including Steam.

However, like so many other games, Virtua Tennis 4 also suffers the archaic regional pricing we've all come to loathe here in Australia, especially given the strength of our dollar against that of the US. North America can pick the game up on Steam for US$29.99, while Steam are advertising the game locally (with a 10% discount) at AU$49.99.
Virtua Tennis 4 puts players on the courts as the world’s top tennis stars such as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. Joining them are seven new champions making their debut to the series, enabling players to take on the likes of Fernando Gonzalez, Caroline Wozniacki, Juan Martín Del Potro, and Laura Robson. Fans of the world’s No.1 selling tennis series can play even more dramatic singles and double matches using a brand new on-court feature for an even more dramatic experience.
Obviously it's good to see a general console-esque title land its way on the PC, but something really has to be done about inflated prices for digital distribution.

Why do they always see us fellow Aussie's as easy targets to rip us off?
The price difference is rediculous.
We should have a national protest and stop paying over inflated game prices

They do it because people pay it. Simple.

Luckily for us higher species, there is usually a cheaper alternative.
