Vicarious Visions became a Blizzard support studio at the beginning of 2021, but before that worked on everything from Tony Hawk to Guitar Hero to Crash Bandicoot and Skylanders. More recently, and importantly, the studio led development on the brilliant Diablo 2: Resurrected for PC and consoles.

A remaster that not only remained faithful to the original, but managed to do so with fancy new 3D visuals. And now the Albany, NY based team at Vicarious Visions has become Blizzard Albany - with the merger complete as per the studio's Tweet earlier today.

And with that, the team is now fully committed to developing Blizzard games. This is great news because Vicarious Visions has a long history of not only releasing games in a timely fashion, but also at a high quality. If Diablo 2's resurrection is anything to go by, Blizzard fans are in for a treat.
