From the '90s computer art to the VHS video artifacts to the bright colours - "grapple-hook adventure" Verlet Swing has definite Vaporwave vibes. And if you need a refresher in the very cool music genre, listen to this. In terms of gameplay this reminds us of the trippy VR bits of The Lawnmover Man on Super Nintendo.
Check it out.
Grab your hookshot and enter surreal fever dreams. An eccentric world where weird stuff happens. Where statues stare you down and you die on impact with any of your surroundings. That’s Verlet Swing – an abstract gauntlet that transforms into weirder and more challenging courses as you sail and soar through strange landscapes of koi fish, pizza slices and other bizarre obstacles.
Already available on Steam, Verlet Swing is console bound June 12 for PlayStation 4 and June 14 for Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
