For budding designers out there playing with Epic's Unreal UDK, the team have just released a compilation video showing off the engine's 2011 feature-set, which includes examples pulled from a host of tech demos they've shown off of late, including GDC's tantalising
Samaritan video.
The new feature-set includes (among many) enhancements to bloom lighting, foliage, high-quality shadowing, depth-of-field, as well as the inclusion of the DX11 MSAA Hair, Subsurface Scattering Apex Clothing and much, much more. We've mentioned that in the past, most of what Epic shows off in these demo reels ends up in games, so this is definitely something worth checking out, even if you're not dabbling in the kit for your own design purposes.

great for the licensing model which Epic have just raised to 50k on your first game before it's taxable. though i assume that would be some kind of domestic US law throw around
example games are Mortal Kombat, GOW series and I think also NS2 (?)
