Soon developers utilising the Unity Pro 4 engine will have the ability to port their games to the Windows Store on PC, Windows Phone 8 and Xbox One, the
Unity Blog has revealed.
According to Unity, the new partnership was revealed at Microsoft’s annual Build conference and will see support added for the Xbox 360, Xbox One and the Windows 8 and Phone markets. Xbox One developers will find new support for "many next-generation features like enhanced Kinect gestures and recognition, multiplayer matchmaking, SmartGlass and cloud stuff."
Unity also added as a small bonus that those developers publishing under the Microsoft Studios logo will be able to obtain the toolset for Xbox One and Xbox 360 free of charge.
