Adding to the somewhat diminished library of PC exclusives, Ubisoft have today announced Anno 2070, a real-time strategy/simulation game from the Anno universe, only as its name suggests, set far into the future.
A new era: while adhering to the fundamentals that made the Anno franchise a success, the near-future setting will bring numerous new gameplay mechanics, architectural breakthroughs, and all new challenges. Additionally, players will be able to build massive cities, the scope of which has never been seen in prior Anno games.
We have more info on Anno 2070 on our dedicated game page, as well as a handful of pretty screenshots, which you can see by clicking the thumbnails below.

I actually thought that this was a late April Fools at first. Have only played a demo of one of the Annos, but this intrigues me enough that I might revisit them.

Looks really cool actually - SimCity esque. I've been looking for a SimCity-type game to lose some hours on for a while.

nice art direction there, if it has an overgrowth mode when you dont maintain certain areas, would get my thumbs up
