Including word that
Rainbow Six Siege on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will support 4K 120fps "for the best Siege experience on console". Plus,
Assassin's Creed Valhalla,
Immortals Fenyx Rising, and
Far Cry 6 will all be targeting 4K 60fps - with all
Ubisoft titles offering a free next-gen upgrade for PS4 and Xbox One owners of each title.
EDIT: As per the write-up Assassin's Creed Valhalla on PS5 is listed as "4K and 60fps visuals", implying that it's one or the other. For Xbox Series X it's listed as 4K 60fps.
Out this week, Ubisoft also confirms that
Watch Dogs: Legion will support real-time ray-tracing for its vision of London on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. However,
as reported last week, this will limit the game to 4K 30fps - which is disappointing but totally playable. And as per
our recent hands-on, the ray-traced reflections add immediate dimension to the already immersive open-world game.
Ubisoft has also confirmed that the upcoming extreme sports racer
Riders Republic will support 4K 60fps on both the PS5 and Series X and that
For Honor will be getting a visual update offering up enhanced 4K visuals on the PS5 and Series X - which, interestingly, will be limited to 1080p on the Series S.
As per
the full breakdown, Ubisoft will be leveraging Xbox technology like Smart Delivery, Xbox Velocity Architecture, DirectStorage API, and Dolby Atmos in addition to PlayStation tech like Tempest 3D Audio Engine, DualSense haptic feedback, and the PS5's high-speed SSD for near-instantaneous loading.
