In a new post titled 'The Future of Hyper Scape' Ubisoft makes it pretty clear that, well, there's no real future for Hyper Scape. A game that was the publisher's big foray into the world of battle royale games. And one that failed to capture any sort of traction following its free-to-play launch in June of 2020.

Here's the gameplay overview trailer from launch. Basically everything you see here goes offline April 28, 2022.

"We have made the difficult decision to end development of Hyper Scape and shut the game down as of April 28th," writes Ubisoft. "We set out to create a vertical, close-quarters, and fast-paced shooter experience and we are extremely grateful to our community for joining us on our journey. We will be taking key learnings from this game into future products."
