And other titles moving forward. Ubisoft Connect is an extension of Uplay and Ubisoft Club features and will debut alongside the October 29 release of Watch Dogs: Legion. As per the headline one of the standout features will be being able to jump from Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 to PC and pick-up where you left off in a game like Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

To check in on your Viking Settlement.

According to the announcement, "full cross-progression, across all platforms and services, will be available with some of Ubisoft’s most highly anticipated upcoming titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Riders Republic". And that this will become the norm moving forward. Also you won't need to be always online for Ubisoft Connect, offline support will still be there for single-player titles.

"Next-generation gaming goes beyond technological improvements and better graphics. To us, as a creator and publisher, it is about bringing more fluidity and versatility in the experience to have the freedom to play games on whatever device and with whoever you want," says Stephanie Perotti, Ubisoft’s Vice-President of Online Services. "Ubisoft Connect is our take on a new seamless experience to not only ease the transition between generations and platforms, but also be the starting point for new services that further contribute to new, more player-centric ways of enjoying games."

Naturally this means a more unified social experience with friends list and Uplay style progression rewards redeemable for in-game goodies, plus news feeds and a “Smart Intel” feature that will offer up tips and guides as part of a new overlay - as seen in the trailer above.

Ubisoft Connect is coming to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. With streaming services like Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna set to get its features too.
