Ubisoft has today announced details on their plans for the upcoming Assassin's Creed 3 in regards to DLC, offering a Season Pass similar to their previous titles. The pass will offer users five planned DLC packs in a 6-month timeline, including an all-new singleplayer campaign.
Assassin’s Creed III downloadable content will feature “The Tyranny of King Washington”, an all-new single-player campaign available as a continual episodic story through three DLCs that will let players experience an alternate history of the American Revolution.
“History is our playground, and Assassin’s Creed teams have always loved playing with historical facts and their consequences as a way to better understand a time period.” said Sebastien Puel, Executive Producer at Ubisoft. “While Assassin’s Creed III concentrates on history as it happens, we wanted to take some liberties with this DLC and tell you how things ‘could have happened.’”
In addition to the singleplayer campaign DLC, there will also be multiplayer content which will feature new maps and characters plus other singleplayer content. No price has yet been announced but hopefully once we get closer we will have more details.
The Season Pass will be available upon release on October 31st for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and on November 22nd for PC. All DLC will be compatible with the WiiU release as well.
