Which, as fans of all thing electronic music and gaming, we're pretty keen to check out. And at $7.95 AUD (via Uplay), it's worth a shot. Described as a musical journey with "no guide, tutorial or hints" the goal seems to simply explore and interact to create both visual and musical joy.
And that's something we can all get behind.
The player travels through four distinct musical gardens as Joy, collecting fallen stars. The more stars the player collects the greater the intensity of sound and visuals is experienced.
The gardens are filled with musical plants that emit specific notes to help players to build a musical background in each level. Soft challenges unlock layers to create a unique composition based on the player play style.
Ode was developed by Ubisoft Refelctions, the team behind Grow Home and the recent Atomega.
