Intended to be one of the premier digital download games on the freshly launched Wii U (and indeed it was for the console's North American launch), indie developer Frozenbyte has regrettably informed us that the release of Trine 2: Director's Cut has been delayed for Australian consumers.
Admitting full responsibility, the developer explains that they did not submit the game to the Australian Classification Board in time to make the launch, an oversight they did not repeat for the European PEGI rating, which will be available when the Wii U launches in Euro territories over the next 24 hours.
The game is now expected on the Wii U's Australian marketplace in Mid December, and a 20% launch discount will still reportedly apply:
The regular AUD price is $19.99 and the discounted is $15.99. Same for
New Zealand is 24.99 NZD and 19.99 NZD. Trine 2: Director's Cut includes the main game, the new Goblin Menace expansion, and the Wii U exclusive Dwarven Caverns level
