As some of the biggest names in sports begin to assemble in Melbourne ahead of the 2012 Australian Open, Electronic Arts have sent along a new trailer for the game, reminding us that the iconic Aussie tennis tournament is indeed one of the titular Grand Slam events featured in EA Sports' upcoming racquet and ball videogame: Grand Slam Tennis 2.
EA SPORTS Grand Slam® Tennis 2 will feature all four Grand Slam® championships and is the only game to feature Wimbledon. Players can experience the thrill of serving up aces on Wimbledon’s prestigious Centre Court, hitting cross-court winners on the clay courts of the French Open, play under the bright lights at the U.S. Open or work on your serve and volley game at the Australian Open. In addition, the game features a deep roster of elite past and present players.
Check out the Austrailan Open trailer below (or click here for the HD video page). We also have some new screenshots featuring the digital likenesses of Roger Federer, Lleyton Hewitt and Pat Cash doing their ball-hitting thang on the true blue court.
Grand Slam Tennis is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 9th 2012 and a playable demo can already be found on the online services of both platforms.
