As our burgeoning local eSports scene grows, so too does the enthusiasm from competing teams to have their glories watched and cheered upon, as will be the case tonight when the Chiefs take on the Dire Wolves in the Split 1 Championships of the Oceanic Pro League for League of Legends.

The victor will win $16,000 in prize money and will go on to represent Oceania in the International Wild Card Invitational in Turkey later this month (April 21-25). The Chiefs currently hold top position on the ladder, boasting 13 wins and 3-0 in the semifinals. Dire Wolves followed in close succession with 11 victories on the board and a convincing 3-1 semifinal win.
