Ubisoft has today announced in a post on the
game's official website that Tom Clancy's The Division has been delayed into 2015.
The title — in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC — was announced during Ubisoft's press conference at E3 2013. The third-person shooter is being built in the Snowdrop engine, a new engine built by Ubisoft to power next-generation games that wowed audiences with its rather visually stunning appeal.
"Working on The Division is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all of us at Massive, Reflections, and Red Storm Entertainment," reads the post from the development team. "We are creating something we are really proud of and we don't want to compromise on quality. We are going to release the game when it's ready."
Hopefully we'll hear more on the title come E3 2014 next month.

Having said that, please resist the urge to mention BF4 as the example of buggy games being released early, everybody has heard it all before, especially those who forget to close the Battlefield blog once the post has finished and seen the thousands of comments about 'netcode' or the more succinct but infinitely more irritating "Just fix the f****** game" EA wanted it out and up against Ghosts, as well as on the new consoles at release, blame them, not DICE.
Well, look at that, I turned out into a comment about BF4 all by myself. I need to go lie down, such hypocrisy is due to bring on a headache.
