Throwback Thursday is a new weekly column on AusGamers where Kosta Andreadis opens up the proverbial gaming industry attic, has a poke around and, amongst the photos of game developers posing in front of exotic cars, finds dusty copies of games from a different time – and plays them!

This week Kosta is heading back into the time when Nintendo reigned high with their Nintendo 64 home console, to take a look at one of the more ambitious titles for the platform - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. So how does it stack up?
Apart from the dated visuals, playing Majora’s Mask feels almost identical to how it played when it originally came out in 2000, and that is immediately engaging and completely unforgettable.
Click here for our Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Throwback feature. Got any suggestions? Want to see a game featured? Let us know in the comments!

Such a dark, cruel and voyeuristic game. The Groundhog Day reference is apt, but it got deeper than that. The moon remains the most menacing boss in videgames of all time, in my opinion

I'd like to see games that I may have missed from years back. There's a few old farts ticking about these parts and I'd love to see what they enjoyed. Old man syndrome aside (looking at you Khel haha), I'd love to play these games. I remember watching a Lets Play thread on SA forums where a guy played Snatcher (by the same guy who made Metal Gear) and allowed everyone to enjoy the game with him. The gameplay was s*** but the story line ws super cool.

There is a game someone must know the name of. It was similar gameplay to LttP or original Zelda, either on SNES or NES. You ran around birds eye view and beat monsters. The character was female I think but then at certain stages you actually turn into a plane of sorts and it goes into a fly and shoot game. Then reverted back. It had no save function so it used codes. I think it had items.
