Throwback Thursday is a new weekly column on AusGamers where Kosta Andreadis opens up the proverbial gaming industry attic, has a poke around and, amongst the photos of game developers posing in front of exotic cars, finds dusty copies of games from a different time – and plays them!
This week Kosta is heading back into the time when Nintendo reigned high with their Nintendo 64 home console, to take a look at one of the more ambitious titles for the platform - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. So how does it stack up?
Apart from the dated visuals, playing Majora’s Mask feels almost identical to how it played when it originally came out in 2000, and that is immediately engaging and completely unforgettable.

There is a game someone must know the name of. It was similar gameplay to LttP or original Zelda, either on SNES or NES. You ran around birds eye view and beat monsters. The character was female I think but then at certain stages you actually turn into a plane of sorts and it goes into a fly and shoot game. Then reverted back. It had no save function so it used codes. I think it had items.
