Outcast, the classic PC action-adventure game from 1999, got the remaster treatment
last year. As one of the first open-world games of note it was a pleasant surprise to find out that it still held up almost twenty years later. Today comes word that THQ Nordic has acquired the rights to Outcast from the original creators.
With THQ Nordic acquiring franchises at a steady clip of late (including Carmageddon, Alone in the Dark, Darksiders, and many more) it cheekily begins the announcement with, "Is there any better way to start off a new year than with an acquisition? We don't think so."
No word on what THQ Nordic plans to do with the franchise, but as with all of its recent acquisitions it'd be pretty cool to see a new Outcast in the future.
